Based in Los Angeles, Starts With One Today is a dedicated non-profit organization with a clear and ambitious vision: to change and impact the lives of one million individuals.

Every Sunday, regardless of the weather conditions we lead a fresh food and necessities drive that reaches over 500 residents of Skid Row. This initiative fosters a sense of community and support among those living in challenging conditions. 

In addition to our food distribution, we offer transitional housing programs specifically designed for men grappling with homelessness, incarceration, or immigration challenges. Our housing solutions provide a safe and supportive environment.

Recognizing the importance of empowering the next generation, we also focus our efforts on local youth in South Central Los Angeles. Our annual events, such as Prom Giveaways and Back-to-School initiatives ensure that every individual has the opportunity to shine. 

Moreover, Starts With One Today is committed to equipping teens and young adults with practical skills through our Social Media and Marketing internships.

We believe EVERYBODY IS SOMEONE'S SOMEBODY.

We aim to instill COMPASSION and EMPATHY into the world by being a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.  Whether that is children, adults, teens or animals. 

We focus on the individual because we believe if you can't feed a hundred people, feed just one.

If one look can start a friendship, one word can end a fight, one smile can save a relationship then one person can change someone's life. We may not change the whole world but even if we only change one life that is enough.
